Accurate measurement and analysis of pedestrian volumes
Using single or multiple count points to understand pedestrian traffic flows, allowing pedestrian volumes to be analysed throughout the day and on different days of the week.
Identifying Dead Spots
This accurately quantifies which locations have above and below average footfall and highlights how this changes over time and by day/s of the week. This can identify those ‘dead spots’ both in terms of locations as well as times or days of the week where footfall declines, thereby providing the empirical evidence to justify a whole range of strategic measures from promoting certain locations to boost footfall or being able to justify rents charged.
We normally only measure the flows of people, however it’s not always the case – recently we conducted a project which required us to measure the number of dogs being walked on a series of footpaths!
