NEMS Market Research Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”) recognise the need for protection and management of your personal information. We have therefore adopted this Privacy Statement to assist you in understanding what information we collect and how that information is used and shared. This Privacy Statement applies to the information we collect when you access any NEMS website, when you complete an online survey, are interviewed by telephone, interviewed face to face or purchase or use our services. We are a member of the Market Research Society (MRS) and strictly adhere to their Code of Conduct.

Information We Collect and How We Use It

Information We Collect Through Online Survey Participation
If you participate in one of our online surveys, we may collect the following data:
Device Information: As is true of most websites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, and/or date/time stamp.
Postcode: The full postcode is only requested if needed for zoning purposes, we normally only ask for a postcode sector. Once the survey is processed the postcode is removed from the data and replaced with a zone/area code.

Information We Collect Through Telephone Survey Participation

If you participate in one of our telephone surveys, we may collect the following data:

Telephone number: This is not stored with the interview data and is only kept if you request to be put on our do not call list.

All of our calls are recorded for quality control and complaint resolution, these recordings are securely deleted within 1 month of job completion.

Information We Collect Through Face to Face Survey Participation

If you participate in one of our face to face/in street surveys, we may ask to collect the following data:
Telephone
Name
Address
Postcode
This information is only used for quality control to backcheck our interviewers and never passed on to our client or any other third party. You may receive a call from our office to ask about how the interview was conducted. This is explained at the time you are asked for the
details and there is no need to supply the details if you are not comfortable with this.

This information will be retained for 6 months after the job is complete.

Information We Collect If You Visit One of Our Websites

This is only used for troubleshooting and to analyse our website usage.

Online Forms
If you provide your email address to us or complete a form on our website with personally identifiable information, your details will be stored to allow a response to your enquiry. This will be done in a fully secure and encrypted manner.

Summary
All the information collected in our surveys will only be used for research purposes. We will never sell or otherwise transmit any personal information to a mailing list. For all research purposes, only aggregate data are used or data where all personal information or sensitive information have been removed. We take all steps to protect the security and integrity of the information that respondents/participants provide.

Cookies and Similar Technologies
“Cookies” are small text files that are placed on your computer, smartphone or other device
when you visit a website These technologies are used in:
• Analysing site usage trends;
• Administering the site;
• Tracking users’ movements around the site;
• Gathering demographic information about our user base as a whole;

When someone visits one of our websites we use a third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our
website.

Our website also includes social media features, such as a “follow” button for various platforms. These features may collect your IP address, which page you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features are either hosted by a third party or hosted directly on our website, therefore your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy statement of those third parties.

Access to Personal Information
